Hostages in Houthi prisons are suffering from severe health conditions due to torture and deprivation.

Humanitarian sources have reported a serious deterioration in the health and psychological conditions of several detainees inside the prisons of the Houthi militia, attributed to systematic torture and deprivation of medical care, as conveyed by journalist Fares Al-Humairi.

The sources indicated that one detainee has developed severe psychological disorders due to psychological torture and isolation within the prison, while another detainee is suffering from kidney failure and requires urgent medical attention and continuous dialysis, amidst complete neglect by the militia.

Additionally, one detainee has lost the ability to walk and now relies on a cane for mobility, while another has suffered three strokes, the latest being a pulmonary embolism, and is currently in critical health condition.

The sources highlighted that one detainee has lost more than half of his normal weight and is experiencing severe emaciation, while another has lost sight in one eye and faces serious complications that threaten complete blindness.

It was added that one detainee has been diagnosed with liver cancer, and his condition has reached an advanced stage with the disease spreading to other parts of his body.

These cases reflect the extent of suffering and violations faced by detainees in Houthi militia prisons, amid repeated complaints from families about medical neglect and torture, with dozens remaining on the lists of forcibly disappeared individuals.
